Personal Branding with Mon + Ash

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝘂𝗿𝘀𝘂𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻?

The love for natural remedies started when I was a child in Mexico. I used to watch my grandma and aunt use homegrown chamomile, cinnamon, rue and spearmint to make me and the family feel better when we were under the weather. When I moved to the U.S. and raised my own family, I carried on that tradition by substituting household and personal care products with natural scents and essential oils.

When stricken by debilitating anxiety years later, I also turned to essential oils. A friend and I developed an aromatherapy blend that we sold to other friends and coworkers. My fascination with the amazing benefits of aromatherapy grew from there. I immersed myself in this world of nature-based products and pursued the coursework to become a certified aromatherapist.

It has been an inspiration to see the results of creating unique aromatherapy blends for my clients that have helped them address specific intentions. From feeling energized, assisting in feeling better with physical ailments, to formulating perfumes that they love.

I also had the honor to be interviewed by Sophie Bolich on the topic of Latinx small business owners. The interview was featured in the Milwaukee Business Magazine.

Sky's the limit! There are many organizations that can help and guide you if you want to start your business or if you need assistance or mentorship. Networking is also a great tool to get motivated and inspired by other small business owner.

 

𝗜𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝘅𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝗲?

I am not sure I could become an expert since there is always something new to learn. Learning never ends. However, I am very passionate about learning the meaning of life and death. I am currently writing a research paper on Aromatherapy and End-of-Life-Care. I feel that caring and helping someone during the transition from life to death is a gift. There is so much to learn and I am very happy I am on this path. I will be posting the research paper on my website once it is finished.
